Email is the operative channel and reaches the operator directly. There is no call centre and no contact form, by design. Messages in English or Lithuanian are answered.

What this service is, and is not

• Holdeta publishes a free estimator for when card authorization holds, deposits and pending charges may be released, plus explanatory guides. Estimates are informational windows computed from published card-network rules. No contract for goods or services is concluded through this site, and nothing is sold here.
• Holdeta is not a bank, payment institution, financial adviser or law firm. It is not affiliated with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover or any bank or merchant, and it cannot see, place or release any hold. Publishing this site is not an activity subject to financial-services authorisation, and no financial supervisory authority oversees it.
• How the site earns money is disclosed in full in section 6 of the terms of use and in the privacy policy: a small number of visibly labelled partner links, and nothing else.

Responsibility for content

The operator named above is responsible for the content of this site. Every estimate is computed by the published methodology, which cites each rule it relies on to its source. Corrections are published rather than argued with: write to hello@plainforge.com.

Disputes and applicable law

• Since no consumer contracts are concluded through this site, the EU rules attaching to online sales and service contracts do not apply to your use of it. The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform was discontinued in July 2025 and is deliberately not linked here.
• Use of this site is governed by the terms of use. The operator is established in the Republic of Lithuania and this notice is provided under Lithuanian law implementing Directive 2000/31/EC.
• Data protection questions and rights are handled as described in the privacy policy, which names the controller by reference to this page and your right to complain to the Lithuanian supervisory authority.
